REGIONAL
PROGRAMS MANAGER
T.C.S.
(Teaching, Counselling, Support) Family Services
is an agency accredited by the Alberta Association for Services
to Children and Families, and funded by the (Region 11) Sakaw-Askiy
Child and Family Service Authority, providing services to families
in that region for the past 15 years. The four pillars of our
service delivery are: Early Intervention, Improved Aboriginal
Services, Community-Based and Integration.
We are seeking qualified applicants for the position of Regional
Programs Manager of community-based
programs in Barrhead, Alberta, which is located approximately
100 kms northwest of Edmonton. The main towns of service are Westlock,
Barrhead, Whitecourt, Athabasca and Morinville.
We are seeking a dynamic person who has the academic qualifications,
leadership and team-building skills necessary to enhance the excellence
of our programs, building on its current strengths of in-home
family services, alcohol-related birth defects and supports to
children and youth.
To qualify, you must have a University Degree in Human Resources/Social
Work/Psychology or equivalent, plus three years experience in
team leadership. Necessary skills include good oral and written
communication, negotiation, teamsupervision/management/guidance
and participation, strategic thinking/planning and innovative
program design. A key aspect is the ability
to liaise and network with communities,
health, education, justice and First Nation peoples as well as
government regulatory agencies. A working knowledge of child welfare
and protection services is an asset.
